Qovia, a provider of enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) monitoring and management products, this week announced the appointment of technology industry veteran David Woodall as President and CEO.
Woodall is succeeding Qovia co-founder Richard M. Tworek, who will continue to work closely with the company in the areas of strategic alliances and technology direction.
"With our recent growth and success in the market, I decided that we needed to bring in an industry veteran like David who could help us grow the company through its next stages," said Tworek. "From the beginning, I wanted to build a VoIP management company that mirrors successful data network management companies like IBM's Tivoli or Hewlett Packard's OpenView. And we have been very successful in our quest to build an industry standard product for managing VoIP networks."
Prior to joining Qovia, Woodall was a partner at Threshold Partners, a team of executives who provide consulting services and business counsel to early and mid-stage growth companies.
Before Threshold Partners, Woodall was President and CEO of Fidelia Technology, an early-stage developer of IT infrastructure and application monitoring software. Woodall also served as President and CEO of Trinagy, which was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2001.
