Fed:Most voters have made up their mind on federal poll
A new survey indicates most voters have already made up their minds .. and are backing
KEVIN RUDD and Labor in the federal election.
A survey of more than 11-hundred voters has found 76.6 per cent have made their decision
.. and 55.8 per cent are backing Labor.
MICHAEL GILLIES-SMITH .. public affairs director of Burson-Marsteller .. which conducted
the poll .. says Labor is in the box seat to win the election.
He says JOHN HOWARD and the Liberals have the fight of their lives on their hands.
More than 80 per cent of 40-year olds and above are certain about there voting intentions.
65.7 per cent in the 18-to-29 age bracket have decided their vote .. and 68 per cent
in the 30-to-39 age group.
However .. in the 60 and over group .. 49.1 per cent are backing the Liberals .. and
40.4 per cent Labor.
By gender .. 82.9 per cent of males have made made up their mind .. compared with 70.5
per cent of females.
Slightly more women are backing Labor at 59.5 per cent .. compared with 52.5 per cent of men.
